Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Dr Blender for your use of www.drblender.com and its services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Dr Blender identifies the tracks in DJ sets, mixes and other recordings. You submit a link from a supported platform or upload an MP3 (up to 100 MB and 2 hours), and we return the tracks we can recognise, with timestamps and streaming links.

Dr Blender is an identification service, not a download or streaming service. We don't give you copies of any audio, and we don't keep the audio you submit.

• You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 16 to use the Service.
• You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
• One person per account. Don't create accounts to collect extra free Blends.

• Each scan of one link or file uses one Blend. New accounts get one free Blend.
• You can buy more Blends in the packs shown on our pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and payments are processed by PayPal.
• Purchased Blends don't expire.
• Failed blends are free: if a scan fails (for example the link can't be downloaded, or recognition fails), the Blend is returned to your balance automatically.
• Blends are a prepaid credit for this Service only. They have no cash value and can't be transferred.
• Purchased Blends can't be refunded or exchanged, except where the law gives you a right to a refund or in other cases at our discretion. If you think something went wrong, email .
• We may change prices. Changes apply to future purchases only, never to Blends you already have.

You may only submit links and files that you have the right to use in this way: for example your own recordings, recordings you have permission to analyse, or publicly available content where your use is lawful. You are responsible for what you submit.

When you submit a link, our servers fetch the audio from that platform only to identify it, then discard it. You must follow the terms of the platform you link to.

You keep any rights you have in what you submit. You give us permission to process it only as needed to run the Service. The tracklists we generate may be cached and shown again to anyone who submits the same content, without your name or account.

If you believe content on Dr Blender infringes your rights, email with details of the work, where it appears, and how to contact you. We'll review it and act promptly.

Please don't:

• use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
• try to download, copy or redistribute audio through the Service;
• scrape the Service, use bots or automated bulk submissions, or try to get around rate limits or Blend balances;
• interfere with, probe or attack the Service or its security, or reverse-engineer it; or
• resell the Service or its results as a product of your own without our written permission.

Identification relies on audio fingerprinting and on third-party music catalogues. Results can be incomplete or wrong, for example for unreleased edits, live remixes, heavily layered mixes or tracks that aren't in the catalogues. We don't guarantee that every track will be found or that every match is correct. A completed scan that finds few or no tracks still uses a Blend, because the work was done.

The Service links to and works with other services, including YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, PayPal and Google. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we're not responsible for their content or availability. If you connect Spotify, we only create playlists you ask for, and you can disconnect at any time.

The Dr Blender name, logo, website and software belong to us. You may use the Service and its results for your own purposes, such as building your tracklists and playlists. You may not copy or redistribute the Service itself.

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the Service or other users at risk. If we close your account without a good reason related to your conduct, we'll refund any unused purchased Blends.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. We may change, pause or discontinue features. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

To the extent the law allows, Dr Blender isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you submitted or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if the changes are significant, we'll tell you by email or on the site before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts.
